Tomer Eliahu

Managing Director

Tomer is the founder and Managing Director of Revolution IT. Having achieved his Masters in Electrical Engineering at The University of Auckland, Tomer began supporting businesses with their IT requirements in the mid-90s. He swiftly gained a reputation for his straightforward, practical style and his strong technical knowledge. In the late 90s an up-and-coming dental software company sought out his help as their dentist customers were experiencing a wide range of IT problems. This began Tomer's close association with the dental community in Auckland and strengthened his reputation as an IT technician who could solve problems that others could not. It also gave rise to Revolution IT.

Since the early 2000s, and spearheaded by Tomer and his business partner Matthew Sharman, Revolution has evolved from a break/fix IT company to a wrap-around Managed IT Services Provider. As well as IT hardware, Revolution now supports a broad range of IT services from its base in Penrose, Auckland. Although Revolution started with dental practices, the business now looks after hundreds of businesses, practices, and charitable organisations.

While running Revolution, Tomer continues to be very active in the IT side of the business and is still the 'go-to' for difficult technical problems and installations.

Matthew Sharman

Chief Information Officer

Matthew Sharman is a Director and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Revolution, a role he's held since October 2005. Armed with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Matthew has been pivotal in crafting the company's tech strategy. His deep knowledge in Modern Workplace, Microsoft 365, and Cyber Security has kept Revolution at the forefront of the industry.

In his directorial capacity, Matthew is more than just a tech wizard; he's a strategic thinker with a versatile skill set. He leads his team from the front, taking on more than just the technical oversight; he's a key player in strategic decisions, ensuring Revolution's offerings are top-notch and cutting-edge.

Matthew's long-standing dedication to Revolution, starting right after university, reflects his commitment. He is determined to drive the company forward by equipping his team and clients with groundbreaking tools. With Matthew at the helm, Revolution is thriving in the ever-changing world of IT.

Barry Porter

Business Development Manager

Barry Porter joined the Revolution team during July 2020, bringing with him 16 years of experience in a management role within the dental industry. As the Business Development Manager, Barry leads the sales team and still retains a special interest in Dental IT, and designing innovative solutions tailored to the unique needs of the dental field.

His responsibilities for the wider Revolution company include IT Consulting, Sales, Marketing, and Key Account Management, ensuring strong client relationships. With a background in business, Barry frequently offers a layperson's perspective on proposed IT solutions. He excels at communicating complex IT concepts in a way that a wide audience can understand, while consistently focusing on the advantages from the client's viewpoint.

Barry's strategic and thoughtful approach make him a valuable addition to the Revolution team.

Phil Wright

Client Success Manager

Phil brings a wealth of experience to the Revolution team. Having worked in various roles in the IT industry, Phil's current specialty as an account manager ensures our customers are well looked after.

John Taylor

Sales and Implementation Specialist

John joined the Revolution team in 2019. As well as gaining his Certificate and Diploma in Computer Engineering, John has amassed 40 years of experience in the IT industry supplying and supporting business IT infrastructure including servers, networks, software, building and repairing PCs, printers, and almost anything built around a microprocessor.

These days John is part of the sales team, consulting with customers, helping them select the right IT gear for their needs and organising installations. He is also head of Revolutions Monitored Print department.

John says he gets the most satisfaction dealing directly with clients and loves chatting over the phone rather than over the keyboard! That personal touch is why our customers love dealing with John - straight up honest advice - and solutions that are practical, effective, simple and smart.

Marcelo Paulus

IT Solutions Architect

Meet Marcelo Paulus, our IT Solutions Architect. Marcelo joined the Revolution team in January 2013. With a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCSc) under his belt, Marcelo specialises in designing IT solutions that fit the needs of our clients from the ground up. In additional to tailoring IT solutions, Marcelo is responsible for maintaining our clients' servers and networks, as well as overseeing Microsoft 365 migration projects. Marcelo brings a wealth of experience to his role, ensuring our IT infrastructure is robust and up to date. Marcelo is our 'go-to' person for complex issues that are escalated beyond our Helpdesk and his dedication and expertise make him an invaluable member of our team.

Edson de Sousa

Service Delivery Manager

He Is: Service Delivery Manager

His Experience: Co-owner/COO for his IT business in Brazil where he was responsible for administrative, financial, marketing, HR, and vendor relationships.

His Qualifications: Bachelor in Information Systems (Computer Networks), Postgraduate in Production Engineering Technology, Master of Business Informatics - MBI (Information Security and Management)

He Does: Monitoring, managing and improving our IT service desk to ensure optimal service. Edson is responsible for taking ownership of critical incidents and coordinating the resolution. He is heavily involved in ensuring that our systems, procedures, and methodologies are in place to support outstanding service delivery. This means he is often found training our Level 1 and 2 technicians and monitoring their performance, as well as reporting on our service delivery goals to the management team. Although he spends less time in the field these days, his installation skills are second to none and is often brought in to lead difficult networking projects.

He Loves: Technology, Information Security, Fishing (No "Ph" on it), Racing Games, Drawing, Home Beer Brewing, Cooking

Nick Brabyn

IT Support Technician (Level 2)

Nick is a hard-working Level 2 IT Technician, known for his friendly attitude and innovative approach to problem-solving. Coming from a background in managed print services and small business IT support, Nick joined Revolution in 2018 and has since become an indispensable member of our team.

His broad knowledge base spans across many aspects of technology, making him very versatile. Nick has developed a particular interest medical and dental IT, where he applies his specialised knowledge to great effect - often finding solutions to difficult and unique IT problems.

Nick brings creativity and positivity to just about every IT problem he tackles, and he is a favourite with our customers.

Campbell Roycroft

IT Support Technician (Level 2)

He Is: IT Support Technician (Level 2)

His Qualifications: Bachelor of Software Engineering

His Experience: Prior to joining Revolution in 2021, Campbell had four years' experience working as an on-site IT service technician.

He Does: As a Level 2 technician, Campbell is involved in many aspects of IT support for our clients. As well as directly assisting clients with more complex work, he is often helping our Level 1 technicians, preparing computers in our lab, and going onsite to assist with installations. Campbell possesses a profound and instinctive grasp of IT systems, frequently offering solutions to problems that have stumped others.

Special Interests: Networking, virtual machines, scripting/automation

James Neville

IT Support Technician (Level 1)

James is an IT Support Technician (Level 1)

Qualifications: Bachelor of Computing Systems, Certificate in Information Technology

Experience: Prior to joining Revolution in 2023, James has previously worked as IT Support for Colwill School in Massey and has taken part in an internship involving app testing.

James is the friendly voice you will hear when you phone Revolution. As a Level 1 technician, James is the first port of call for most IT service requests form clients. James has fantastic listening skills and is adept at explaining technical details in simple terms.

Ryan Meiring

IT Support Technician (Level 1)

Ryan Meiring is a dedicated Service Desk Technician at Revolution IT.

Based at our office in Penrose, Ryan plays a crucial role in providing Level 1 IT support, ensuring that our clients receive timely and effective solutions to their technical issues. Reporting to Edson de Sousa, Service Delivery Manager, Ryan is known for his problem-solving skills and commitment to customer satisfaction. With a strong focus on enhancing user experience with clear communication skills, Ryan is an invaluable member of our technical team.

Andrew Dunn

IT Support Technician (Level 1)

Andrew is a dedicated Service Desk Technician at Revolution IT.

Based at our office in Penrose, Andrew plays a crucial role in providing Level 1 IT support, ensuring that our clients receive timely and effective solutions to their technical issues. Reporting to Edson de Sousa, Service Delivery Manager, Andrew is known for his problem-solving skills and calm approach on the phone, and is an invaluable member of our technical team.

Caroline Woodward

Office Manager

She Is: Office Manager

Her Experience: Caroline has previously worked in roles involving Sales, Marketing and Project Management

Her Qualifications: Diploma of Business (Marketing)

She Does: Caroline looks after and maintains the office for the Revolution team and helps create a fun modern environment to work. She manages all the office and administration requirements for Revolution IT and is the 'go-to' for the thousands of details that keep a business running smoothly in the modern world.

She Loves: Gardening, home design, and animals.
